BELLEVUE, WA. (February 17, 2011) — The Bacon Family Foundation announced today a donation of $100,000 to benefit the Bellevue Schools Foundation. The donation will help fund the academic and support programs "Bridging The Achievement Gap & Project Readiness" (BTAG) for Bellevue's low-income schools. Project Readiness targets academic intervention and needed services so every child is ready to learn.
"On behalf of the students whose educations will be improved, we'd like to thank the Bacon Family Foundation for their generous contribution," Roxanne Shepherd, Executive Director, Bellevue Schools Foundation. "The families generosity helps make it possible for the Bellevue Schools Foundation (BSF) to fund exceptional learning opportunities for Bellevue School District students."
Since 2006, The Bacon Family Foundation has donated over $2,200,000 to organizations that support children and their families in greater King County.
